We’re Paul and Devorah, and we own a husband-and-wife auto repair shop here in Arizona.
We reached out because we were at a breaking point. Our shop was busy—cars lined up, phone ringing, customers needing work—and on paper things looked good. But cash flow was tight in all the ways only a real business owner understands. Parts costs kept going up, vendors wanted faster payment, payroll and rent don’t wait, and even when we had a strong month, the money didn’t always land at the exact moment we needed it.
At the same time, we had opportunities we couldn’t take advantage of. We needed to stock more inventory for faster turnarounds, replace a key piece of equipment that was slowing us down, and we wanted to hire another tech so we could stop turning away work. We also had a couple of repairs and vendor invoices that had piled up at the worst possible time. The demand was there, but the timing of cash flow was holding us back.
We found Seaport Funding Group and honestly expected the typical sales pitch. That’s not what happened. The first conversation felt like someone finally understood our business. Maxwell and the Seaport team didn’t talk down to us or push us into something that didn’t fit. They asked the right questions—what our weekly revenue looks like, what our slow days are, what our biggest expenses are, what the money was for, and what success would look like in 30/60/90 days.
They also explained everything clearly. No confusing jargon, no “sign here and hope for the best.” They walked us through options, the costs, the payments, and what we should expect. As a husband-and-wife team, we appreciated that because we make decisions together and we don’t like surprises.
The process was fast and organized. They told us exactly what documents we needed, helped us present it properly, and stayed on top of the file the entire time. Anytime we had a question, they responded quickly—like, actually quickly. We were kept in the loop at every step, and it never felt like we were chasing anyone.
Most importantly, they got it done. The funding gave us breathing room and momentum at the same time. We were able to catch up on a few time-sensitive items, restock parts so we could complete jobs faster, and invest back into the shop instead of constantly juggling which bill gets paid first. It changed the way we operated almost immediately—less stress, fewer bottlenecks, better workflow, and we could focus on the business instead of constantly worrying about timing.
What we liked most is that it felt like Seaport Funding Group was on our side. They weren’t just trying to ‘close’ us—they were helping us make a smart move for our business. We’d recommend Seaport Funding Group to any shop owner or small business owner in Arizona (or anywhere) who needs capital and wants to work with a team that’s professional, honest, and actually cares.
Thank you, Seaport Funding Group. You helped us move forward when we needed it most.
